King’s Seafood in San Jose is part of a celebrated restaurant group known for its fresh seafood menus, seasonal specialties, and elegant décor. To enhance the guest experience, the architectural team required a restaurant patio heating system that was both visually appealing and capable of delivering reliable warmth in an open-air dining space. HeatingSolutionsUSA was engaged to design, specify, and supply a solution that complemented the restaurant’s design while ensuring year-round guest comfort.
The Challenges
Designing the patio heating system presented multiple challenges. The restaurant’s high ceilings required heaters that could provide effective radiant warmth from elevated positions. Additionally, the system had to account for clearance requirements around lighting, sprinklers, fans, and integrated sound equipment. The heating plan needed to balance performance, safety, and aesthetics while maintaining the restaurant’s upscale atmosphere.
Our Patio Heating Solution
HeatingSolutionsUSA collaborated with the architect and MEP engineers to finalize specifications and layout. The solution featured Solaira ICR heaters in black finish with matching trim kits, chosen for their ability to be flush- or surface-mounted while meeting CSA/UL approval standards. To give management complete control, the heaters were paired with Solaira Omnis variable controllers, allowing adjustments up to 100% heat output.
